Services routinely undertaken on new projects include:

• technical vetting of specifications to check that they are deliverable without being unduly lenient
• technical vetting of rainscreen tenders
• reviewing rainscreen specialist's drawings and those for interfaces
• attending design meetings when required
• advising on project specific laboratory testing if required
• reviewing project specific laboratory test method statements if required
• attending project specific laboratory testing if required
• acting as independent witness for laboratory testing if required
• advising site staff in essential checks and hold points
• undertaking periodic checks of on-site quality control
• ad-hoc support to project teams as and when required

On projects IBT has been involved in, the materials used for the outer skin of the rainscreen cladding have included: aluminium; hand patinated bronze; granite; terracotta; timber; and vitreous enamel.
